INR CLINIC

The Practice Nursing Team holds a clinic for INR (Warfarin) every Wednesday. Patients are given their results immediately plus details of their dosage and their next appointment.


FLU CLINIC

These Clinics are held in October/November and involve GP’s, Practice and Community Nursing Teams. Notices will appear in the local press and patients will also receive notification by letter.


MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS

Some services are offered out with the NHS for which a fee is payable as recommended by the British Medical Association e.g. private medical examinations, travel immunisations, completion of insurance claims forms etc. The current charges are displayed in the surgery. Overseas visitors may also be charged as private patients.


PRACTICE NURSE SERVICE

The Practice Nurses and Phlebotomists consult on an appointment basis only. Blood tests, dressings, ear syringing, contraceptive checks, HRT checks, travel immunisations. Patient requiring tests following consultation with their Doctor may have a longer wait as priority is always given to those with appointments.


CONTRACEPTION

Family Planning Services is a Practice Nurse run service during routine consulting hours with support from GPs and provides annual reviews.


WELL WOMAN CLINIC

Offering well woman checks, advice, cervical smears and hormone replacement checks.


MINOR SURGERY CLINIC

An appointment with the GP is required initially to arrange a referral to this clinic for a minor operation.


RESPIRATORY CLINICS

Patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) or asthma are seen at this clinic.


DIABETIC CLNINC

All patients with diabetes will be invited to attend a clinic.
